Here at iTeach and iWrite, we chat about all things teaching and writing. I am an elementary teacher, published romance author (albeit a very slow one), and teacher consultant my local chapter of the National Writing Project. I truly love helping elementary and middle school teachers level up their writing instruction and have plenty of tips and tricks to share. My philosophy

Writing should be an integral part of, not just the ELA classroom, but of every classroom from Tk-University. Writing encompasses word development (including phonics and spelling), grammatical structures, text structures and types, and so, so much more. If you want to help your struggling readers improve their reading skills, teach them to write.
